It all began in a basement in Mattapan, MA in the mid-1960s. A young drag racer (Bob) began selling high-performance equipment to his fellow racers out of his fathers basement. Soon he moved out of the basement, and began selling auto parts and accessories as well as racing equipment. Today, Bob's Speed & Auto Parts has grown to over twenty-five employees and a fleet of twelve delivery vehicles providing free "hot-shot" delivery to established professional mechanics.

Our clean, well-lit showroom is not what you might expect from an auto parts store and neither is our inventory behind the counter. Unlike the big chain stores, we have a deep inventory - not just the most popular part numbers. If the part or accessory you need is not in stock, we can usually have it within 24 hours - most times within just one hour!
